DAILY CLEANING
Daily cleaning can usually be done with ordinary washing-up liquid in clean water. REMEMBER to always dry with a clean, dry cloth to remove the last traces of moisture and grease. This is very important, as otherwise the surface will be shielded by lime stains from the water.
You can clean ILVE's products and quality surfaces professionally and thoroughly with care products for stainless steel.
Stainless steel is the main material in many quality products from ILVE. It ensures high quality and long life on stoves, hobs, hoods, refrigerators and many other products. It is recommended to use special cleaning agents for stainless steel to maintain the quality of the material
Milder cleaning agents such as soap shavings or similar are recommended for these surfaces. Here, too, follow the dosing instructions on the packaging and wipe afterwards with a clean, dry cloth. Ammonia-containing cleaning agents must not be used for painted surfaces, as ammonia causes the paint to turn yellow.
Should lubrication become necessary, only acid-free lubricants may be used.
CLEANING THE FRIDGE
Follow these step-by-step instructions: – Unplug from the socket or switch off the fuse in the fuse box. – Take all food out of the fridge and keep it cool. – Remove drawers, shelves and other storage units from the refrigerator. – Clean the refrigerator with a soft cloth and lukewarm water, with a little pH-balanced washing-up liquid added. Dry afterwards with a soft cloth. – Clean the stainless areas with mild soapy water or a stainless steel care product. Use a soft cloth. Always follow the grinding direction of the steel when cleaning and wiping. Dry afterwards to avoid stains from water splashes. Do not use cleaning agents with bleach (e.g. chlorine) as they are corrosive to stainless steel.
Warning : Some stainless steel cleaners can damage other materials. Cleaning agents for stainless steel surfaces may only be used for stainless steel components. The polishing cloths can be used with food and on surfaces that come into contact with food. – Wipe the moldings in the door with water and a soft cloth. Dry thoroughly afterwards with a dry soft cloth. – Plug in the socket or switch on the fuse in the fuse box after cleaning.
CLEANING THE STOVE
We recommend removing food residues and stains immediately so that they do not stick and become difficult to remove. The entire cooker can be cleaned after it has cooled down with a sponge and soap. Wipe afterwards with clean water and let it dry.
Warning : Do not use cleaning agents when the surface is hot. The fumes that emerge can be dangerous to your health.
Cleaning agents containing ammonia, bleaching agents, corrosive substances and abrasives as well as detergents for dishwashers, steel sponges, scouring pads with soap, scouring powder and flammable cleaning agents. These products can damage, scratch and dull the hob. Instead, use a product designed for induction or glass ceramic hobs, mild soap and water. Contact ILVE for a cleaning product to remove grease.
Clean it with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and dry afterwards. Do not use scouring powder, steel wool, oven cleaner or other abrasive cleaning agents.
Remove all grease residues with an approved cleaning product for stainless steel surfaces or contact ILVE for a cleaning product to remove grease.
QUESTIONS ABOUT GAS BURNERS
After switching on, hold the button down for approx. 5-10 seconds for the flame to burn. Make sure the spark plug is clean and the brass holes on the burner are dry and free, especially after boiling over or cleaning with a lot of water. Make sure the burner ring is positioned correctly in the grooves on the ring below.
Usually due to water getting into one of the burners, perhaps after an overboil or cleaning with a little too much water. Nothing dangerous, but the burners need to dry. Turn off the power to the oven and, for example, let the oven dry out overnight. Then turn the power back on. When cleaning, be careful not to use too much water, and make sure the burner caps and rings are dry and fine when you put them back on. Back to the top ?
Make sure the spark plug is clean and free of moisture / liquid. If the problem persists, create a service report as the spark plug may need to be replaced.
This is normal as the spark plugs are connected in parallel.
