It is a time and for some families the only time when the whole family is together. ILVE would like to help extend that quality time by also making the cooking itself a shared experience. Italian engineering and culinary delights in a beautiful combination
ILVE's exclusive stoves and built-in products have their roots in the long and proud Italian tradition of cooking. In the town of Campodarsego near Venice lived over 60 years ago two men - Eugenio Illotti and Evelino Berno. Their friendship was bound together by their shared livelihood as engineers as well as a mutual passion for cooking.
They wanted to bring gourmet cooking to private homes, so that all families could have good experiences with both food and cooking. The vision was exclusive and individually designed stoves and other built-in appliances that not only gave families the opportunity to cook extraordinary food, but also gave every kitchen a unique and stately look.
In 1953 they joined forces to start ILVE, whose name is an abbreviation of Industria Lavorazione Veneta Elektronik, which can be translated as “industrial electrical appliances made in Venice”. That same year they developed their first stove and demand quickly followed. In 1983, Illotti and Berno handed over ILVE to their respective sons, who are still the owners of the family business today.
Freestanding and built-in white goods for every taste
In 2001, the Italian top-class white goods were imported to Denmark, and this gave the Danes a completely new way of tailoring their kitchens. In recent years, the biggest interior design trend has been to create a home that is both personal and unique. The products must be able to be changed and adapted to the individual's taste, which is why ILVE's stoves, with their countless design options and many sizes, quickly became popular.
